Symptoms

DLL loading errors result when one of the DLL files which are contained within Windows becomes corrupted for some reason or other, or occasionally when they become errantly deleted. DLL files are also known by their full name of Dynamic-link library files. They are quite important for the functioning of Windows, so when they become corrupt or are deleted by mistake then numerous issues can crop up. However, the problems related to DLL files disappearing or becoming inaccessible are thankfully not too difficult to resolve.

When you have a DLL loading error, you will tend to see error messages such as the following:

“Error in loading dll”

Or possibly:

“Object library not registered”

Download Recommendation

The first thing to try with regard to this error is to attempt to clean the registry of your computer. A good way to do this is to download the Total System Care, which will do an excellent job of cleaning your registry and often sort out the problem in itself.

More Information and Manual Resolution

It is possible to have Microsoft solve this problem for you directly, but if you’d prefer to fix this problem yourself then follow the instructions below.

The first thing you need to do is open the Notepad program. This is accessible through the Start menu, by simply typing ‘Notepad’ into the search box. You then need to copy and paste some rather complex text into the Notepad, which differs depending upon the version of Windows that you’re using.

For 64-bit Windows, 32-bit Office copy and paste the following:

Once you’ve copy and pasted the appropriate information, you need to save the Notepad files in the Win32Keys.reg format. This can be done through the File > Save As option by using the drop down menu beneath the file name entry box.

Finally, either double click on the Win32Keys.reg file to run it, or within the registry editor program go to File > Import in order to locate the place where the Win32Keys.reg file was saved, and finally right-click it and select ‘Open’.
